The Department of Basic Education (DBE) has notified job searchers that more assistant positions would be available shortly and that they should be prepared on its recruitment portal.
The official DBE News Twitter account informs us that “opportunities are coming up” for Education Assistants (EA) as well as General School Assistants (GSA).
Those interested should sign up for the SA Youth portal, where employment openings and other possibilities will be posted.
Because these positions are restricted and in great demand, the DBE suggests that applicants register just on the portal and be prepared to apply as soon as vacancies become available.
“Are you a member of sayouth.mobi?” Do you remember your password? Is your contact information up to date? “Does your address match?” The department has written.
To ensure that all candidates are prepared, the DBE also recommends not getting caught with an invalid password and gives instructions on how to reset it:
- “Visit sayouth.mobi.”
- Select ‘Login.’
- Select ‘I forgot my login or password.’
- Select how you want to change your password: SMS-based reset (only works if you have the same phone number you registered with), Reset by email (only works if you registered with the same email address) [or] Reset using my security question (available only if you set this up on your last visit).
- Click the link to reset your password.”
Those who are still having problems with registration, passwords, applications, or anything else should call the toll-free hotline at 0800727272. This calling service is open from 9:00 a.m. to 16:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
With South Africa’s unemployment rate standing at 34.5 percent, this program should assist individuals to find jobs in the education industry. It’s also wonderful to note that the site and phone service are free of charge, making the procedure even more convenient for everyone.
